Video from head-on crash scene at Northwest Highway and Euclid Avenue Thursday evening.

Arlington Heights police responded about 5:50 PM Thursday to a head-on crash at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Euclid Avenue. Two people were injured with one removed from their vehicle by firefighter/paramedics and the other able to walk to the ambulance. Arlington Heights Fire Department sent two ambulances to the scene.

A Mitsubishi Galant and a blue Toyota Celica crashed with severe front-end damage to both vehicles. Apparently one of the vehicles may have been turning left in front of the other.

No police confirmation, but apparently the southeastbound Galant turned left in front of the Celica, which was possibly northwestbound on Northwest Highway.

Arlington Heights police are investigating the accident, and had the intersection cleared by 6:20 p.m.

A second three-car rear-end collision with minor injuries occurred on Euclid Avenue, just east of Dryden at about 6:05 p.m.
