Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:10 a.m. Thursday to report of a bicyclist struck by a car at Golf and Busse. The crash was right across from Mount Prospect Fire Department Station 12 with paramedics arriving immediately at the scene.
Michael Wolfe, 62, was stuck and killed by a vehicle — he was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m. at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Wolfe, a Mount Prospect resident, was riding a bicycle near the intersection of Golf and Busse roads when he was hit by the vehicle.
The intersection of Golf and Busse was closed overnight during a police accident investigation.
