Schaumburg Police Warn About Suspicious Vehicle’s Driver Asking Children If They Want a Ride

Schaumburg police received a report that on March 21, 2018, at approximately 8:00 AM, a male white subject stopped his vehicle in the area of the block of 2500 Barkwood Road. Four juveniles were waiting at the bus stop when the male subject drove up to them and asked, “need a lift?”. The juveniles told the male subject they were waiting for the bus and he drove away.

The male subject remained inside his vehicle when he asked, “need a lift?” The juveniles did not know the male driver, and did not recognize the vehicle he was driving. The male is described as being 35-50 years-old, having white or gray hair and driving a black 4-door vehicle.

The Schaumburg Police Department is asking for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Schaumburg Police Department Investigation Division at 847-882-3534.
