Two Crashes at Dundee and Kennicott, One is DUI Crash, Light Pole Down

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday of a car crash involving one car and a traffic light pole at Dundee Road and Kennicott. Police arrived on the scene and found the main light pole across Dundee Road, and a blue Subaru on the parkway after it took out the traffic signal control box. Police received a report that the blue car may have tried to leave the scene after hitting a sign, a light pole and then the traffic control box for the intersection of Dundee Road and Kennicott. The light pole was down across part of Dundee Road. The Subaru had heavy front-end damage.

Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighter/paramedics responded, but it is unknown if any victims were transported to the hospital.

A second accident was also reported at the scene. A female driver was transported in custody to Arlington Heights police headquarters after she was arrested for DUI — presumably from the car vs. pole crash, but not confirmed.
