Prospect Heights House Fire on Olive Street

House fire video: Fireground operations video shows house fire under control in less than 25 minutes.

Prospect Heights Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1400 block East Olive Street near Rand Road and Olive about 3:00 p.m. Monday.

Upon arrival Prospect Heights Fire Department reported heavy smoke and called for mutual aid. Arlington Heights Fire Department was already responding.

All people got out of the house, but a cat may have perished in the fire.

Firefighters had the fire under control in about 20 minutes. Fire departments from Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Long Grove, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Wheeling assisted Prospect Heights Fire Department at the scene. Elk Grove Township Fire Protection District and others provided station coverage for Prospect Heights.
