Aurora Police Investigate Social Media Threat of Shooting at “West High” Conclude No Connection to School in Their City

Aurora, Illinois police responded to reports of an early morning social media threat of a school shooting at a school named “West High” which was investigated immediately. Police concluded the threat was not directed at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois.

As a precaution, Aurora police officers were assigned to be stationed at or near the school to provide additional security resources at West Aurora High School. Aurora police report they are continuing their investigation of the social media threat, searching for any possible connections.
