Rolling Meadows police guard evidence — the black Mazda CX-9 (top photo) hijacked at about 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Meijer and abandoned in the 300 block of East Algonquin Road, just south of the Ashton of Arlington Heights Condominiums where police thought the suspect may be hiding.

Rolling Meadows police activity in the area of Continental Towers and Meijer store looking for an armed robber who escaped while being transported by two states attorney officers. The escape apparently occurred at or near the Continental Towers at 1701 Golf Road in Rolling Meadows at about 9:45 a.m. Arlington Heights police were actively involved in search and investigation — assisting Rolling Meadows Police Department.

The offender apparently managed to disarm the agents and fled on foot with their weapons — running toward the Meijer store, just east of Continental Towers. The offender then apparently carjacked a black Mazda CX-9 SUV and fled in that vehicle. He was last seen in the vehicle northbound in the Meijer parking lot. He removed an orange shirt that he was wearing and may have been wearing a black, sleeveless vest and jeans.

  1. Bravo!!! He is my hero. I hope he escapes and doesnt kill anyone.

I wish I saw the part when he asked he asked sheriffs to take his pants off…
    Hilarious!!!!

  2. What is the background of the fugitive? What was he going to jail for in the first place; as well as the incident in Florida? I’d like to know what the connection between escaping and dangerous is. I can see him being dangerous to those who want to lock him up, as with any animal being placed in a cage, but will he hurt a person not trying to catch him?
