Palatine Fire Department responds to fires in this neighborhood, but they were returned as soon as it was realized they were not needed at the scene. Palatine Rural Fire Protection District’s tender or tanker truck also responded, since dispatch center data in the area showed that hydrants might not be readily available. Arlington Heights firefighters reported, as soon as they arrived, that there was a fire hydrant located near the home with the dryer fire.
