The National Weather Service and local station websites are down Sunday morning, June 28, 2026. Downdetector.com reports of an outage began just after 7:30 a.m.
The front page of weather.gov was operating at 10:25 a.m. but was responding slowly.
Local stations were churning to respond and then replied with an error message.
The Storm Prediction Center was operating normally at 10:25 a.m. Sunday.
On the National Weather Service X account and the National Weather Service Chicago X account, there were no posts indicating a problem with the NWS website.
