A 32-year-old male was shot three times by two unknown offenders when he was standing outside in the block of 7300 South Carpenter Street in Chicago about 10:06 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026. The offenders began firing in the direction of the victim. The offenders then fled in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to St. Bernard in fair condition with three gunshot wounds to the lower body. No other injuries have been reported as Area One Detectives investigate.
A 38 year old male was driving in his vehicle in the block of 4100 South Karlov on Friday, May 22, 2026 at about 8:40 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain. The victim relocated to another location where CFD paramedics were assigned to treat the victim for a gunshot wound to the hand and transport him to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition. Two female victims, age 32 and 31, were sitting in a gray vehicle in the block of 700 of North Avers on Friday, May 22, 2026 about 8:53 p.m., when they heard gunshots and realized they were shot. The 32 year-old female sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, and was treated by CFD paramedics and transported to Stroger Hospital in fair condition. The 31 year-old female was shot twice in the chest and twice in the arm, and was treated by the CFD paramedics, and transported to Mt. Sinai in fair condition. Area Four Detectives are investigating the shooting.

A 74-year-old male victim was inside a residence the block of 8100 South Laflin Street, on May 22, 2026, at approximately 1:29 p.m. when he was shot twice in his body. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. Area Two detectives are investigating — 6th District.
