Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 to a report of a crash involving a sedan and large tree service truck at Euclid Avenue and Douglas Avenue in Arlington Heights. A dark sedan was likely totaled in the crash. There were no known injuries or EMS transports.
Several teens were at the scene, but it was not confirmed whether the teens were in the car that crashed, or whether they were friends of the driver that arrived on the scene. There were at least three backpacks at the side of the car, so it’s likely teens occupied the sedan during the crash.
The tree service truck had a flat tire and a damaged wheel well after the crash.
The Speed Limit on Euclid Avenue is 25 MPH, and Douglas Avenue is controlled by stop signs for northbound and southbound Douglas Avenue. Only right turns are permitted on southbound Douglas at Euclid Avenue. Southbound Douglas Avenue motorists are prohibited from crossing straight across Euclid Avenue, and are prohibited from making a left turn from southbound Douglas Avenue to eastbound Euclid Avenue between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
