Scene Video Police-Involved Shooting at 79th Street and Ingleside Avenue, Grand Crossing Neighborhood, Chicago

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Chicago responded Friday evening to a report of a shooting at East 79th Street and South Ingleside Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood of Chicago. Shots were fired by the police and police returned fire.

Early reports indicate that a 22 year-old woman was shot in the arm by a male. The male fired shots at police, and the police shot the suspect, possibly hitting him in the arm.

Citizen video captured an apparent shooting victim being carried down the street.

Multiple police officers are on scene, a total of three CFD ambulances and a fire engine were assigned, and witnesses report there were one or two police helicopters overhead.

A witness reported hearing six or seven or eight gunshots.

One shooting victim is in serious condition, and one person is in fair condition.
