An early report indicates the operator of a four-wheel snow maintenance vehicle working for the Village of Bartlett was critically injured. Aerial video from WGN News SkyCam 9 shows two wheels of the snow maintenance vehicle on the yellow edge of the train platform, and the other wheels over one rail of a Metra MD-W track closest to the platform.

Inbound and outbound train movement was restored about 10:00 a.m. but then halted again at about 10:56 a.m. for an extended crash investigation.

Metra personnel usually work to clear the Metra platform, while Bartlett Public Works clears commuter lots. However, a Village of Bartlett employee was crossing at Oak Street when the vehicle was hit by the train.
