Police, firefighters and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025 to a report of a shooting in the block of 1500 Revere Circle in Schaumburg. An adult female suffered a superficial gunshot wound when a shot was fired from another residence on Revere Circle, and a bullet struck her inside her own residence.
The initial investigation indicates that the female gunshot victim was not targeted. Police are investigating the individuals at the other residence across the street where the gunfire originated. The homes in the neighborhood are duplex residential buildings.
The Schaumburg Police Department announced Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at about 7:02 p.m. that the persons involved are known to each other and are not believed to be an active threat to the community. The investigation is active, and officers will continue to be in the area, according to the Schaumburg Police Department.
