Lake County Judge Victoria Rossetti on Thursday, April 24, 2025 sentenced Robert Crimo III, age 24, of Highwood, to seven consecutive natural life sentences, and 50 years for each attempted murder charge, to be served consecutively to the natural life sentences. Crimo III will serve the sentence in the Illinois Department of Correction, and will not be eligible for parole.
Crimo III, initially refused to show up for the hearing, but while the sentencing hearing was underway, a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy passed a note to the Judge Victoria Rossetti, informing her that Crimo III wanted to come to court. Court was interrupted for almost an hour. Crimo III didn’t arrive in the court room because of an issue with his religious books, including the Quran, because he then decided once again that he didn’t want to attend the hearing.
