
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Mount Prospect responded about 1:03 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2025 to a report of a crash with injuries involving a utility pole and power lines at Rand Road and Euclid Avenue in Mount Prospect. The crash involved two cars, and injured at least four people.
Tower 13’s crew on arrival requested ComEd to expedite to the scene of a crash with three primary power lines down on top of a vehicle on the northeast corner of Rand Road and Euclid Avenue. A pole was also snapped and leaning.
A second ambulance was requested at 1:14 p.m., a third ambulance was requested at 1:21 p.m., and a fourth ambulance was requested at 1:25 p.m. Firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights and Prospect Heights provided mutual aid for Mount Prospect Heights firefighters and paramedics.
The Mount Prospect Police Department did not put out an alert regarding this crash scene, which did involve a power failure and lane closures.
