Police, firefighters and paramedics from Grayslake responded about 5:20 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2025 to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle near the area of Route 83 and Route 137 in Graylake. Witnesses reported the driver of the motorcycle, a Suzuki GSX-R, was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to navigate a curve, causing the crash. The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle, a 62-year-old Maywood man, was critically injured and transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center.
Despite care and treatment at the hospital, the motorcycle driver was pronounced dead in the operating room. The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified.
The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Adolfo Rosario, of Maywood. Preliminary coroner’s investigation indicates that Mr. Rosario’s death is consistent with blunt force injuries as a result of the crash.
The Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) of Lake County was also requested to assist in the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation by the Grayslake Police Department and MCAT.
