Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 to a report that a woman was stabbed in the block of 1700 Wilshire Lane in Arlington Heights. The woman had been punched and stabbed by her husband, and took her cell phone so she couldn’t call 9-1-1. The woman was able to get help at another location in her neighborhood after the domestic violence occurred inside the home she shares with her husband, and three young children, according to court records.




Paramedics transported the female victim to Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital with multiple injuries suffered in a domestic violence incident.

Allegedly, Timur A. Azimov, punched his wife with a closed fist several times, causing significant injuries, and then slashed her three times with a drywall mud knife.

After committing the domestic violence, Timur Azimov allegedly took his wife’s cell phone to prevent her from calling the police.

The suspect fled his home, but Timur A. Azimov returned, and was arrested at his home at 8:21 a.m.

Interfering with Reporting Domestic Violence.

A Plenary Order of Protection was issued.

At a court hearing on March 6, 2025, Timur A. Azimov was ordered detained pretrial. His next court date is Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Courtroom 207 at the Cook County Circuit Court Rolling Meadows.

Timur A. Azimov, who is 6’2″ 198 LBS, was booked March 6, 2025 at Cook County Jail Division 2 in Chicago.
