The identities of two of three young adults killed in a crash in Glenview, Illinois last Sunday have been released via obituaries. Three adults in their 20s were killed in a high-speed crash that occurred when the car the victims occupied left the roadway and crashed into a tree at the southeast corner of West Lake Avenue and Pfinsten Road in Glenview.

Wesley “Wes” Beitler, age 22, and Bryce Reinhard, age 22, have been identified as the two male victims killed in the crash. The identity of a female, age 20, was not initially released.

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Glenview responded about 4:36 a.m. Sunday, January 19, 2025 to a report of a single-vehicle crash with entrapment and fire at the intersection of West Lake Avenue and Pfingsten Road in Glenview.

Fire Command reported the vehicle was located at the southeast corner of West Lake Avenue and Pfingsten Road. The crash was located at the intersection of Pfingsten Road and West Lake Avenue southeast of Glenbrook South High School high school campus.




The fire was extinguished by about 4:51 a.m. Three victims were found deceased inside the vehicle after the fire was extinguished.

The North Regional Major Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) was assigned to assist the Glenview Police Department with the high-speed fatal crash investigation. Initially, there was no information released by the police department regarding the direction of travel of the crashed vehicle before the crash. The Speed Limit on West Lake Avenue east of Pfingsten Road is 35 MPH, according to Google Maps Street View images. The Speed Limit on West Lake Avenue is not posted west of Pfingsten Road.

West Lake Avenue east of Pfingsten is a two-lane road with two left-turn lanes from westbound West Lake Avenue to southbound Pfingsten Road, and one left-turn lane from eastbound West Lake Avenue to northbound Pfingsten Road. There is one right-turn lane from westbound West Lake Avenue to northbound Pfingsten Road.




West Lake Avenue west of Pfingsten Road is mostly a one-way street eastbound except for a quick right turn from westbound West Lake Avenue north into a Glenbrook South High School driveway.

The Speed Limit on Pfingsten Road north of West Lake Avenue is 35 MPH.
