Driving Without Lights When Required,
Improper Lane Usage, and
Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
Taeyoung Kim was scheduled for a conditions hearing today, Saturday, May 18, 2024.
Taeyoung Kim remains in custody “NO BOND” at Cook County Jail Division 8.
His next court date is May 24, 2024 in Cook County Circuit Court Skokie.
The Glenview Police Department received assistance from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force’s
Crash Assistance Team and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The Glenview Police Department responded at 11:08 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024 to a two-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of East Lake Avenue. The driver of one of the vehicles, Marko Niketic, 17, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Glenview Fire Department transported two individuals to Lutheran General Hospital and one to Evanston Hospital. The second driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The passengers of both vehicles were listed in critical condition. East Lake Avenue was shut down in both directions from Wagner Road to Waukegan Road.
The crash remains under investigation by the Glenview Police Department with assistance from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force’s Major Crash Assistance Team (NORTAF MCAT).
