Palatine Police Department on April 10, 2024 charged 37-year old, Alfonso Benitez-Hernandez, of the 2100 block of North Oakbrook Circle Palatine, with one count of Possession of Child Pornography, which is a class 2 felony.
Palatine Police Detectives launched an investigation after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The extensive investigation indicated Benitez-Hernandez had numerous videos and images of juveniles under the age of 13 engaged in sexual activity.
Benitez-Hernandez was transported on April 11, 2024, to the Cook County 3rd District Courthouse in Rolling Meadows for a detention hearing.
