Manhunt for Driver that Fled Stolen Semi-Trailer Truck Near Willow Creek Church, South Barrington

Area police officers responded about 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 to search for a driver that fled a stolen semi-trailer truck at Barrington Road and Covered Bridge Road.

Illinois State Police discovered a semi-trailer truck that was reported stolen out of Bensenville. When police attempted at traffic stop, the truck driver stopped the truck and fled on foot.

Police were converging in the area which is centered just west of Willow Creek Community Church, and south of the intersection of Algonquin Road and Barrington Road.

The suspect is described as a male/white wearing a ski mask with a gray hoodie.

Also, an abandoned stolen auto was discovered on Liberty Drive just east of Bartlett Road. Possibly three suspects fled from this stolen automobile around 4:50 a.m.

One of the suspects from the second abandoned stolen auto was described as …

a male/white, 5’5″ 147 LBS.

Initially, it is unknown if these to incidents are connected.
