Police Arrest Husband After Standoff, Violation of Order of Protection at Home in Arlington Heights

An Arlington Heights golf pro has been held without bond in Cook County jail since Tuesday, September 19, 2023, after violating an Order of Protection at a restricted home on Highland Avenue in Arlington Heights.




Police from Arlington Heights responded just before midnight Tuesday, September 19, 2023 to a report that an Arlington Heights resident violated an Order of Protection when he arrived at a restricted location — a house in the block of 1100 South Highland Avenue in Arlington Heights.

According to court records Brendan Doyle, age 46, arrived at a protected or restricted location while the protected persons were away from home. Doyle allegedly ignored multiple police commands to exit the residence, resulting in a standoff with police for approximately 45 minutes. According to court records Brendan Doyle admitted knowledge of the Order of Protection, and that he had been drinking. Police eventually entered the home and arrested Brendan Doyle. Inside the home they found property items damaged and destroyed.




The victim connected to the Order of Protection reported to police that Doyle sent a text message to her within minutes of him being served with the Order of Protection on Monday. He then arrived at the home — violating Restriction 2 (R2/the protected home) within hours of being served on Monday.

Allegedly, Doyle, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, according to court records, threatened to kill the whole family on Friday, September 15, 2023. According to court records, the defendant poses a real and present threat to the safety of any person or persons or the community, based on specific articulable facts of the case. Brendan Doyle, as a golf pro, operates a golf instruction business located in Arlington Heights.

Respondent Brendan Doyle was served the Temporary Order of Protection on Monday, September 18, 2023, which expires October 9, 2023.

According to court records Brendan Doyle is the defendant in a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage (divorce) filed in July 2023.

Brendan Doyle, who stands 6’2″ and about 190 LBS is held without bond at Cook County Jail at 26th and California in Housing Location DIV08-3D-D324. Doyle’s next court date is September 29, 2023 at Cook County Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows.
