Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 to a report of a possible psychiatric emergency in the area of Northwest Highway and Vail Avenue Arlington Heights.
A witness told CARDINAL NEWS that a male black in his 30s or 40s was arguing with a female black, unknown age, near the intersection of Northwest Highway and Vail Avenue. At one point the male adult was sitting and lying in a westbound lane of Northwest Highway. The subject had a medical sling and possibly a cast or splint on his arm, according to the witness.
Police officers were first on the scene at Vail Avenue and Northwest Highway, and requested Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics to stage for a possible psychiatric evaluation. However, Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics were later advised by police that they were released from the scene. The person who had been lying on Northwest Highway possibly moved to a bench closer to Javier’s restaurant. Apparently medical treatment and transportation was either not needed or was refused by the male adult. Initially, there is no information available regarding any arrests or citations issued connected to this incident on September 5, 2023.
Earlier Monday, September 5, 2023, police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 11:07 a.m. to a report that a 43 year-old male was injured near North School Park. Initially it was not confirmed whether these two 9-1-1 calls involved the same person.
Looking back at recent incidents at North School Park near the block of 300 North Evergreen Avenue; on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, Michael Williams was cited for Disorderly Conduct (Actions Alarm or Disturb Another Provoking Breach
of Peace/violating municipal ordinance 8-501). William’s acquaintance or girlfriend, Princess Jackson, age 42, was arrested for the offense of Battery (0460) and charged with violating a municipal ordinance for fighting (8-505). Princess Jackson was arrested at 1:04 p.m. and Michael Williams was arrested at 1:11 p.m. The residency of the male, and the residency of the female are unknown.
As a result of the alleged fight on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, Michael Williams, age 42, was cited and released. Princess Jackson was arrested, and an unknown bond amount was set at 10%. Both Williams and Jackson are scheduled for Adjudication Court at Village Hall at 1:00 p.m. on September 12, 2023. Initially it is unknown if the male and female were fighting with each other, or fighting with a third party. No other arrests were reported on August 8, 2023 near North School Park.

Michael Williams and Princess Jackson were two of six people that were arrested after a fight that occurred at the Mobil gas station at Vail Avenue and Northwest Highway on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Williams was charged with Battery, Resisting a Peace Officer and Criminal Damage to Property. Michael Williams was also issued a trespass warning from the business at the Mobil gas station located at Northwest Highway and Vail Avenue. Princess Jackson was charged with Battery and Obstructing a Peace Officer, and was also issued a trespass warning from the business at the Mobil gas station.
