Police and firefighters from Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin responded about 5:50 a.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023 after a Sturgeon Bay police officer noticed black smoke coming from a barn. The police officer was able to quickly respond to the fire scene, enter, and rescue three cows that were trapped in the barn. Once inside, the police officer faced large flames showing inside the building and reaching as high as the roof.
No injuries were reported.
