Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Chicago responded about 8:35 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023 to a report of a shooting of a teen in the block of 2200 South Keeler Avenue in Chicago.

A police investigation initially indicates that a male victim, age 16, was walking on the sidewalk when two unknown males exited a dark sedan and began shooting at the victim. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the upper chest and was transported by Chicago Fire Department paramedics to Level 1 Trauma Center Mount Sinai Chicago. He was listed in critical condition, and later died. No one is in custody, Area four detectives are investigating (10th District).
