Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Gurnee responded about 1:50 a.m. December 25, 2022 to a report that a male was possibly unconscious and not breathing at the residence in the block of 1000 Boulevard View Avenue. Gurnee police officers attempted life-saving efforts and Gurnee Fire Department paramedics provided Advanced Life Support treatment. The male was transported by Gurnee Fire Department paramedics to Vista Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified at 2:45 a.m. and responded to the hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Brandon Biron-Bomis of Glencoe. On Tuesday, December 27, 2022, an autopsy was completed at the Lake County Coroner’s Office. According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, there was trauma noted, but final autopsy results for Mr. Biron-Bomis are pending toxicology and further testing.
The Lake County Major Crimes Task Force assisted with evidence collection at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing by the Gurnee Police Department.
