Cook County Sheriff’s deputies, and firefighters and paramedics from Hoffman Estates responded about 1:48 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022 to a report of a crash into a tree involving personal injury on Golf Road west of Barrington Road near the Cook County Forest Preserve Police Headquarters, 3110 West Golf Road near Hoffman Estates.




Police on scene reported they are investigating a possible kidnapping that may have involved a female victim that was drugged. A male suspect ran into the nearby Cook County forest preserve, and a manhunt was immediately underway after the crash.

The crash scene is located about one mile west of the Mariano’s at Golf Road and Barrington Road in Hoffman Estates.

Traffic delays in the area, and Golf Road may be blocked between Barrington Road and Bartlett Road.
