Police, firefighters and paramedics from Gurnee responded about 7:50 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022 to a report of a shooting at Six Flags Great America, 1 Great America Parkway in Gurnee. Police advised the scene was secure for paramedics to move up to victims by 7:52 p.m.
There is no information provided by police indicating that any shooting suspect was in custody.
A first report was that a person was shot in the leg near the front gate.
A second victim was reported to have been located by the wave pool.
An additional two victims were possibly at an indoor location. A victim was found by a blue hut at Guest Services.
