The Maywood Police Department has confirmed that a child abduction occurred at 1701 South 1st Avenue in Maywood about 9:53 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Kyaira Montgomery, age 3, was forced by the suspect into a silver 2021 Honda Insight driven by an unknown female/black subject. The Honda Insight was last seen heading northbound from the address on 1st Avenue in Maywood at 9:53 a.m.
UPDATE: Police announced a suspect and vehicle in custody at Taylor Street and Wood Street in Chicago at 1:13 p.m.

Victim Kyaira Montgomery is described as a three-year-old female, 3 feet tall, weighing 30 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink blouse and maroon pants during a DCFS visitation with suspect Shaina K. Davis.
Shaina K. Davis is described as a female/black, age 31, 5’4″ tall, and weighing 152 pounds. Shaina Davis was last seen wearing a black and white dress. Kyaira is listed as a protected party from the suspect (Shaina K. Davis) in an active order of protection.
An AMBER ALERT was issued about 12:45 p.m. on cell phones, and was issued by the Illinois State Police.
