Suspect in Custody: Homicide Investigation on East Camden Ln Near Silver Oaks Dr, Round Lake Beach

Round Lake Beach police and Round Lake firefighters and paramedics responded just before 1:40 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2022 to the block of 200 East Camden Lane in Round Lake Beach, where police discovered a homicide scene. Police determined the scene was secure, and first due paramedics, including extra paramedics moved up to the scene for patient assessment and treatment.

Lake County Board Member Describes News of 3 Children Killed by Their Father in Round Lake Beach, Starts Fundraiser

Police are seeking a person for investigation possibly connected to the crime located in a neighborhood of single-family homes west of Route 83 between Monaville Road and Rollins Road. The subject is identified and described as a male/white, age 35, 6’5″ 285 LBS with blond hair and blue eyes.

UPDATE 5:02 PM MONDAY …

A suspect in this case is wanted for the investigation of the murder of three found dead inside a house in Round Lake Beach, according to the Round Lake Beach Police Department. Initially there was information that there were four people killed.

The suspect was spotted about 4:21 p.m. on I-57 southbound near 115th Street driving a 2010 Nissan Maxima. The subject continued to I-80 WEST and was driving on the inside shoulder, using all lanes, and was also driving on the outside shoulder. The suspect crashed through a guardrail on I-80 WEST and then crashed near Water Street and Duncan Street in Joliet — a location that is about half way between Chicago Street and the Des Plaines River.

The suspect remained in the vehicle, which crashed and rolled over in an area of woods or trees near Water Street and Duncan Street in Joliet.

The Round Lake Beach homicide suspect was in custody by 4:49 p.m. and paramedics were called to the scene.
