Arlington Heights police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 11:09 a.m. February 9, 2022 to a report of a downed power line in the block of 800 East Miner Street in Arlington Heights. Police and firefighters received a report that a truck hit a low lying power line on the south side of Miner Street, and that there were sparks and arcing. The truck that hit the power line was no longer on the scene.




Firefighters on arrival discovered a power line damage with some arcing. Firefighters requested ComEd to the scene. The arcing stopped, and ComEd crews arrived within minutes to begin repairs.

Arlington Heights police officers temporarily blocked Miner Street between Hickory Avenue and Dryden Place, but Miner Street was re-opened by about 12:15 p.m.
