A Chicago police officer was arrested Thursday, December 9, 2021 after a 29-year-old woman was found shot to death Thursday morning in the block of 2100 North Nashville on the city’s Northwest Side.
Chicago police responded about 10:10 a.m. Thursday to the block of 2100 North Nashville on a well-being check. Police on arrival discovered the 29-year-old woman, who was identified as Andris Wofford. She was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the chin.
Police arrested an off-duty CPD officer following the shooting and he has been relieved of police powers.
Facts about charges and the identity of the police officer were not initially announced. Area 5 detectives are interviewing the suspect.
