Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Streamwood responded about 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 to a report of a crash with injuries at Vine Street and Oakland Drive in Streamwood. Upon arrival police and firefighters discovered a car with minor damage on the lawn up against a tree with reported minor damage and one person down on the ground.
Paramedics immediately reported they discovered a gunshot victim at the scene. Two additional ambulance were assigned to the scene.
One patient was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, and one patient was transported to AMITA Health St. Alexius in Hoffman Estates. A third patient was assessed and was declared a non-transport.
