Construction Worker Seriously Injured in Fall from Apartment Building on Sterling Ave Palatine

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Palatine responded about 10:06 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 to a report that a construction worker fell off the roof of an apartment building at 925 North Sterling Avenue in Palatine.

Initial report indicates there was one male victim seriously injured at the south side of the building between Sterling Avenue and Cove Drive.

One victim was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with extra paramedics on board the ambulance.




Ice and snow conditions were at the scene with a fresh snowfall Wednesday night.

Initially there was some confusion whether there were two patient because there was a 9-1-1 call from the Cove Drive side of the incident. Paramedics confirmed there was only one patient injured at the scene.
