Around 7:30 AM Tuesday, November 9, 2021 Northwest Central Dispatch System NWCDS and RED Center 911 reported phone issues where they could not call out and possibly experienced other issues with Police Desks in the area.
Incoming 9-1-1 calls were reported to be working, but Northwest Central Dispatch System (NWCDS) was having issues with phones using normal 10-digit numbers.
There were also issues with on-board mobile data terminals on emergency vehicles, such as police vehicles, ambulances and fire engines.
There was also a wide area Comcast Xfinity outage initially reported around 7:30 a.m. with Internet services and television services either totally down or intermittent. The Comcast Xfinity outage affected several metropolitan areas in the United States.
The website downdetector.com logged over 52,000 reports from Comcast Xfinity users reporting an outage — a figure that is extraordinarily high.
