Vernon Hills police responded about 6:01 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 to a report of retail theft in progress at Macy’s, 1 Hawthorn Center at Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills.
The complete description of the driver was not initially available, but was possibly a female about 35 years-old and wearing a green shirt and black tread pants. A passenger in the silver Ford Escape was described as a female Hispanic with brown hair, age 25, wearing a black sweatshirt and black shorts.
The suspects fled in a silver Ford Escape that was previously reported as stolen at a high rate of speed eastbound on Route 60.
The suspects are wanted for investigation involving retail theft, fleeing and eluding, and possessing a stolen vehicle.
