Well as if 2020 wasn’t weird enough, 2021 is certainly a year of “where’s the weird around the corner” … Sometimes weird isn’t bad, and this is the case with Foo Fighters’ Hail Satin album.
Hail Satin by the Dee Gees (Foo Fighters) was released on July 17, 2021, for Record Store Day — an annual event inaugurated in 2007 to “celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store.
The album Hail Satin — as in satin disco shirts — is exclusively released on vinyl, and consists of five disco covers originally by the Bee Gees on its A-side — actually four and one originally by Andy Gibb.

On the B-side is five live versions of songs from the Foo Fighters’ 2021 album Medicine at Midnight.

Sure there are some people who won’t like Hail Satin, but they probably take their lives much too seriously, or they just hate disco SO bad. Consider Steve Dahl, the Insane Coho Lips, 50,000 attendees and 20,000 anti-disco fans outside Comiskey Park at Disco Demolition Night didn’t completely kill disco on July 12, 1979.
