Police, firefighters and paramedics from across Miami-Dade and Broward counties responded about 2:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021 to a partial building collapse of a 12-story condo building at the Champlain Towers South Condo at 8777 Collins Avenue in Surfside Florida. A side of the building facing the Atlantic Ocean collapsed.
As of 5:00 am. CT, one person was confirmed dead.
