Bartlett Police responded about 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 to a report of shots fire near the intersection of Route 59 and Army Trail Road. No injuries reported.
The area near the intersection from Army Trail Road to Smith Road was closed until about 11:45 a.m. for a police investigation.
Bartlett Police Department stated that investigators initially determined that a specific vehicle may have been targeted.
The area was re-opened to traffic following the on scene investigation, and the investigation is continuing by Bartlett Police investigators.
Initially there was now description of the shooter available.
⚠️ Bartlett Police are investigating a shooting incident involving a vehicle near the intersection of IL Rt 59 & Army Trail Rd. No injuries reported. Bartlett Police DO NOT believe this was a random act of violence. IL Rt 59 is closed between Army Trail Rd & Smith.
