Fatal House Fire on Spruce Terrace Near Valley Lane Arlington Heights

Police and firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 8:16 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 to a report of a house fire in the block of 1900 Spruce Terrace in Arlington Heights.

UPDATE: Officials reported two people were removed from the house, treated by paramedics and transported to Northwest Community Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Police first on the scene reported flames showing. Someone tried to rescue people in the house before police and firefighters arrived but weren’t able to enter the house.

A witness reported two people were removed from the house by firefighters and were being treated with CPR.

The Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal was assigned to the scene.
