Firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove responded about 10:28 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2020 to a report of a burning odor in the Camelot Park Community Center building at 1005 East Suffield Drive in Arlington Heights.
Firefighters on arrival reported an odor of something burning, but no source was initially identified. Firefighters were assigned to the roof to check the HVAC system and air handling units.
Firefighters discovered a burnt-out belt from an air handling unit by about 10:53 a.m. The incident was secure of danger and hazards.
