Illinois State Police were alerted about 11:50 a.m. Sunday August 16, 2020 to a report of a wrong-way driver in the eastbound lanes of I-290 near Cicero Avenue.
A red Dodge was reported traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. A message also reported the vehicle near Independence Boulevard at 11:49 a.m.
Illinois State Police were alerted of wrong-way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes.
The vehicle was described as a red Dodge.
The driver was still driving the Dodge on the left shoulder westbound near Laramie at 11:58 a.m.
