Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said the looting Sunday morning started as a result of misinformation following a police-involved shooting in the Englewood neighborhood. Chicago Police responded about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2020 to a report of a person with a gun in the block of 5700 South Racine Avenue. Police returned fire, and struck the 20 year-old male.
