Protest scene at H St NW and 14 St NW in Washington DC.

Nine News Australia’s Amelia Adams appeared to play the side of the protesters in an interview on Sunday May 31, 2020 with a protester, who feels terrible that he is a United States citizen, stated that protesters near the white house Saturday night were peacefully protesting, shaking the fence a little bit, but were met with law enforcement shooting pellets and throwing ‘bomb like things.’ However, there were other reports that the protesters were hurling projectiles at Secret Service agents, and there was video of a secret service agent injured in the face, being treated by on-scene medical personnel. Rioters also attacked Fox News reporter Leland Vittert and crew near the White House with fluid-filled bottles and interfered with his live broadcast.

Amelia Adams began as a journalist with Sky News in 2003, and most recently has been a US Correspondent and a foreign correspondent in the UK. Nine News is the national news service of the Nine Network in Australia.
