Pedestrian Hit by a Vehicle at Quentin Road and Kelly Ann Drive, Palatine — Seriously Injured

Police and firefighter/paramedics from Palatine responded about 8:26 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 to a report of a vehicle crash with pedestrian at Quentin Road and Kelly Ann Drive in Palatine.

Police received a report that the pedestrian was hit by a Honda Accord. Police, first on the scene, reported an unresponsive patient with life-threatening injuries.

The patient was pronounced dead at the scene.

The traffic incident was also reported on Waze. The incident is located at the intersection, which is located near the New Life Community Church and Palatine Senior Center.

There was an extended accident investigation initially closing all or part of Quentin Road Friday night. Later Friday night Quentin Road was closed in both directions between Kimball Avenue and Gilbert Road.

A motorist was cited at the scene for driving around flares and barricades and through the scene while the scene was being investigated by Palatine Police Department.
