Lasonte M. Ruthertold, 30, of the block of 6700 Main Street in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, was arrested accused of resisting arrest (enhanced due to deputy injury) and battery at Addison and Clarks, 37895 North Sheridan Road in Beach Park Friday.
Lake County Sheriff’s deputies were on routine patrol about 2:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 when they observed a female punching another woman inside a vehicle in the parking lot at the Addison and Clarks bar. The bar is open until 2:00 am. Saturdays.
The two deputies separated the offender and the victim, and the offender was identified as Lasonte M. Ruthertold. While one deputy was speaking to the victim and one deputy was speaking to Ruthertold, the offender charged the victim while making a threat. The Lake County Sheriff’s deputy that was interviewing Ruthertold took her down to stop the attack. In the process of taking her down the deputy injured her knee, but was able to detain Ruthertold with handcuffs.
The Lake County Sheriff’s deputy was treated at a hospital, and has returned to work for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Ruthertold’s bond is listed as $20,000 recognizance. Ruthertold is scheduled for a Lake County court date on Wednesday, February 19, 2020.
