Cook County Sheriff’s Police Investigating Possible Attempted Child Abduction of 2 Juveniles on Nichols Rd, Unincorporated Arlington Heights

Cook County Sheriff’s Police investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect who may have attempted to abduct two juveniles Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in unincorporated Arlington Heights in Palatine Township.

According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, a male suspect in a pickup truck approached two juveniles in the block of 2300 Nichols Road near Frontage Road and attempted to lure them into his vehicle. The male suspect fled after a relative of the juveniles saw the truck and began to approach the encounter on Nichols Road between Bloomington Avenue and Bonhill Drive.

The male suspect was described as male/Hispanic, approximately 5 feet tall, with a dark mustache and beard. He was driving a red pickup truck with yellow lights on the roof. There was no front license plate on the red pickup truck.
