49ers running back Raheem Mostert joins Golic and Wingo to discuss his four-touchdown performance vs. the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game, San Francisco’s passing game with QB Jimmy Garoppolo and how it will feel to play in Super Bowl LIV vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
San Francisco 49ers’ Running Back Raheem Mostert: “In your job with the NFL, you’re never secure.” He knows; he’s been cut seven times.
Mostert said that at the NFC Championship game against the Packers, Jimmy Garoppolo came up to him and said he can’t believe the passing stats because he’s always … he said ‘Dude, I’ve only thrown for 55 yards? I can’t believe it.’ And then Garoppolo said, ‘Well, I’m 8 for 8 on completions (actually 6 for 8).’ Raheem said in the huddle Jimmy Garoppolo was warming up his arm, doing arm circles and ‘stuff like that’ in the huddle like he was going to throw, but Raheem told him, ‘Jimmy, you know it’s going to be a run.’
