A male suspect is facing weapons charges after being arrested at the scene of a memorial party where 13 people were shot, and police say more charges could be coming. CBS 2’s Jeremy Ross reports.

A male suspect has been accused of being the shooter at an incident that injured 13 people in a greystone apartment building in the block of 5700 South May Street at about 12:35 a.m. Sunday December 22, 2019. Four people were listed in critical condition at two area Level 1 Trauma Centers.

Chicago police charged Marciano White, 37, with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon after he was captured immediately after the shooting. Chicago police said he was seen leaving the location clutching a bag across his body, and attempted to elude police as officers approached Marciano White.
